Scholarships

For 2012, The Robby Atherton Foundation will awarded three $1200 scholarships to help deserving student-athletes continue their academic careers. The scholarships are awarded to players who strive to obtain the highest level of performance – on and off the court/field – through dedication, perseverance, sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork. These scholarships will do what Robby would be doing if he were here physically… giving an “assist” to a fellow athlete. The three scholarships are:

  1. IKE Basketball Award: One $1200 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified senior on the Eisenhower Varsity Boys Basketball Team.
  2. IKE Varsity Athlete Award: One $1200 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified Eisenhower senior boy/girl athlete playing a varsity sport.
  3. The Heart Award: One $1200 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified All County - Macomb County, boys basketball player.

2012 Heart Award

For 2011, The Robby Atherton Foundation has awarded four $1000 scholarships to help deserving student-athletes continue their academic careers. The scholarships were awarded to players who strive to obtain the highest level of performance – on and off the court/field – through dedication, perseverance, sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork. These scholarships will do what Robby would be doing if he were here physically… giving an “assist” to a fellow athlete. The four scholarships are:

The Robby Atherton Foundation IKE Basketball Award: Brandon Bartneck

The Robby Atherton Foundation Eisenhower Varsity Athlete Award: Natalie Georges

The Robby Atherton Foundation Eisenhower Varsity Athlete Award: Richard Moceri

The Robby Atherton Foundation Heart Award: Bryan Mitzener (DeLa Salle High School)

For 2010, The Robby Atherton Foundation awarded four $1000 scholarships to help deserving student-athletes continue their academic careers. The scholarships were awarded to students from Eisenhower High School, Stevenson High School, and Warren Mott High School.

In 2009, eight graduating high school seniors received partial scholarships. These student athletes were basketball players who attended the four UCS high schools, including every senior on Eisenhower’s Varsity Basketball Team, Robby’s alma mater. These seniors received their scholarships after Robby’s #12 basketball jersey was retired.
